not true... from my experience... from an ek to an eg the rear shocks wont fit... u have to widen the lower part of the shock to fit the controll arm thats what i had to do with my shocks the eg..

i think ure refering to eg to and ek... thats when u have to use washers

Wow, tons of different info going on.
I used to have an EM1, which is basically an EK. When I first picked up my hatch and swapped my suspension over I didnt modify shit. No widening, no washers, nothing. Direct bolt. As a matter of fact on the boxes my shocks came in they were labeled 92-00, as far as what car they fit.

#11026 The rear shock forks on an EK are thinner than the ones on a EG. Ive seen it in person.

#32887 well theres some people saying no, and some saying yes. but i guess i would have to ask do all the eg civics have the same size lca, like are ex/si larger around for performance while the dx/cx/vx have smaller ones which would allow the use of the ek rears while it wouldnt work on the ex/si due to the larger size? just a thought, not sure if its right tho

#32894 No all eg lca's are the same, except JDM ones that have an eyelet fitting instead of the fork fitting.

They do fit but it just depends what lca's you use

#32933 Sorry but I own both an EG and EK hatch and I have bought both EG spec and EK spec Tein full coils and the EK rear shock fork is smaller than the EG. You will have to shave metal off of the mounting bushing to get the fork over. The LCA's are different lengths also.

#32935 ok so we have gotten a yes, and we have gotten a now...both answers are from people with personal experience... lets throw this into the equation... were you using factory LCA's on the EG, or were they after market?

I have both OEM and aftermarkets and I had to modify both to get the EK Spec Coils on em. I could take a picture but I could care less if you all believe me. I'll just say this, If you buy EK Spec coils like I have, you better have some kind of grinder to get them on or you are screwed.
