- Thu Aug 13, 2009 5:33 am #137633 My car started bouncing a bit and I am looking to change my front shocks. As this being my first Honda car I have no idea how to do this... I looked at the DIY section but could not find instructions for oem shocks. any tips or help will be greatly appreciated

- Thu Aug 13, 2009 4:01 pm #137703 Its quite easy really. just lift the car up and put it on jack stands.

Take the front wheels off.

There are two 14mm nuts holding the strut to the shock tower.

17mm bolt and nut holding the shock fork to the LCA

12mm bolt holding the Fork to the strut

Two 10mm bolts holding the brake line to the strut.


take off the brake line bolts, then the top 14mm nuts, follow that with the 17mm nut and bolt and finish with the 12mm bolt. fork should seperate from strut and come out easy like.
