#167937 If you're wanting to lower your car the first question to be asked is
1. How low do you want to go?
2. Is your car going to be used for track or just daily?
3. What's your budget?

If you want to be super low and be able to go from super low one day to 2 inches higher, then I'd recommend coilovers. If you are just wanting to be 2 inches lower and call it a day and leave it that way then I'd say go with springs. Also all depends on your budget. You can get some good coilovers like D2's for $875 shipped. If you're wanting springs..D2 just came out with some good springs for $130 shipped but you'd have to get new shocks. So it just really depends on how low you want to go, what you plan on doing with the car and what your budget is..I'm not a springs type of person so I highly recommend coilovers. You can adjust them as much as you want and they tend to last longer than springs on a different shock. Hope this helps

Sleeves or a blowtorch are the cheapest options.

#168029 If you want a good cheaper solution, but not have your car ride like crap. Get KYB Gas Struts, They can be had for between $250-300 for a set. then get some random Generic ebay adjustable coilovers. They normally go for around $50.

That will let you slam the car, have stiff springs so your car handles amazingly in the turns however still has decent ride comfort.

This is a setup a few of my friends have and it holds up good, One of my buddys has been driving/racing on this setup for aroudn 3 years now. The struts are in good shape and still rides good.

In contrast my OEM replacement Struts which has 3 months of use on before I got them, the Driver side front strut is going out in my Sedan, It hasn't even been lowered for a year now, Even then its not that extreme of a lowering job. I will be getting KYB Gas struts and Ebay coils for my Sedan soon.

#168153 Sophomore? I'd just drive it... Everyone at my school thinks that having a car is a competition. All of the preps get brand new cars for their 16th birthday, and they never have to pay for a damn thing. Pisses me off. You should just make it fast as hell before anything. Everyone will be envious.

#168161 I just picked up a set of KYB gas struts and ebay coilovers for like $250 total. Check out these KYB struts and these random coilovers. That is pretty much the same set-up I just got. If you don't like to buy stuff on ebay the KYB's can be purchased at someplace like Napa
