ok so lately i have been thinking about putting the power rack in seeing as i have the manual rack. But looking around for a DIY i have found may for putting the manual one in to replace to the power rack and vise versa. so besides better steering when moving slow is there any advantage to a power rack, or should i keep the manual rack as to have less drag on the motor??? thxz guys

Well... other than the easier steering, you get a more unreliable part. Because my steering rack currently is so broken, that I can't stand the sound of it knocking. I am thinking of replacing it with a normal one, so it won't brake again.... But I am no specialist, so wait for another answer.

I thought having a heavier motor in the front would in fact make it harder to turn but to be honest the 92-95 cars that dont havepower steering well i love them i feel only slight differences to be honest between them. however the power steering system i think adds too much weight and too many components that clutter up your bay....anyhow id say stay with the non-power steering rack grow a bit of muscles because i know i bearly have any and i can turn my car while its sitting still like nothing. and another great thing about power steering racks is there are less components which means less to go wrong=a win in my book.....

if you have wide tires then it will make life easier. other than that, no advantage.

There's more to break, leak PS fluid. More weight, more clutter in the bay.

manual rack ftw! power rack is too much clutter for my taste...
