Going to do a 5 lug conversion: my goal being; EK9 wheels.

This means i'll change from my EG3's 13" castor wheels to 15". Though, i'm not sure if the rolling diameter will be changed.

Will type R springs lower it? I want it to be lowered only for aesthetic reasons; the last thing i want is a crashy ride, especially living in the pothole/ speedbump city.

The other option i've spotted is Spoon progressive springs.

I must get an ARB the rear end is stepping out over rough surfaces at slow speeds...

On your civic, the Type R springs will actually raise the car up. the difference in weight is what will cause that.

Ive got Tein coilovers for sale, these will get your car low, be pretty comfortable and handle a million times better. Ill include some ITR rear lower aarms so that you can fit these and also an ARB to your eg3. After £450 posted for everything

I had 5 stud + ek9 wheels + coilovers on my old eg

I wish i could mate; thanks for the offer; student build i'm afraid!

You know how it is, interesting read that of your first build; harsh luck there! Although we do tend to think 'what if' afterwards, and become more alert.

Cheers.
