#59484 Ok, I was driving behind a Focus today. It had low offset and stretched tyres, real low!

It was bouncing like mad over the small bumps etc...

I so want that. What's the stiffest suspention out there? I'm currently running on Eibach springs, I think over stock shocks. What's the best set up out there? I want to stay away from Koni.

I was originally thinking of getting Tein Basic, as someone showed pics of how low you can really go on them, amazly.

What's everyone's opinion? It is my DD but soon I'm thinking of getting a new car and making this for track, so I'm looking into getting something really stiff! Anyone got any thoughs on this? Are Tein good? Any other brands apart from Koni that are real stiff?

Incase you're reading, I really want a stiff bouncy set up. I wanna be able to feel sick going to work lol.

Tein ftw?

#59560 the bouncing around like a hoopty is usually a result of bad or oem shocks/struts used on a lowered vehicle.

If your car is already lowered and want to feel every tiny bump in the road, I recommend replacing your bushings with urethane ones. That made a huge difference on my hatch. The oem rubber ones wear out over time.

#59565 im not sure why you want a bouncy ride.. Suspension imo, should be about how it handles not how bumpy stiff it is.

I can tell you a bump on a turn while going at the limit is not going to be fun if you are THAT stiff. I can tell you first hand that will cause you to understeer or even spin out.

But..if you really want a stiff setup get the SPOON N1 coilovers.

i believe its 21k and 19k for the suspension spring rates.. just a good comparision.. Omnipowers run 12k and 8k on their stiffest option. :)

#59566 Im running 12k front and 9k rear. its nice and stiff. Could always go stiffer, but the girls already dont like riding in my car, I dont need to make it worse for me.

Ive got Ksports. I just asked for stiffer rates for the springs. You can do the same for FOrm and function and D2s i believe also. I know Ksports also offer revalving of the struts for the stiffer springs, im not sure on the others.

#59591 I'll proberly go for the D2'S then :thumb: how low can you go on D2's? I wanna slam my Civic.

I've been told that ITR shocks with 40mm lowering springs (Tein etc.) are a really decent setup. Why don't I want Koni? Everyone loves Koni, I don't!

#59637 D2s are £420 ish so pretty cheap for full coilovers. They'll go lower than you want, trust me

Mine aren't even half way down, it would go low enough to have your sump sitting on the ground

D2's are the daddys for how much they cost and trust me give it a week with them fully stiffened up and you'll be in a wheels chair they go real low too have a few mates that have them and they all have soffened theur rides and put the hight back up.

Also on the ITR Shocks and srings its what I have on my Coupe, they feel real nice on the straight and under acceleration but still not stiff enough for what I want but way better than civic stock shocks with any brand of springs.

Will be selling them once I get my D2's
