#69093 hi guys, i'm having a problem; i have an eibach prokit with stock shocks on my EG , riding on 205\40 r 17 tyres, no camberkit and my rear control arm bushes needs replacing, but this setup is too uncomfortable for me. my car is a DD and i dont race at all. Will installing eibach prodampers, factory bushes make the ride comfortable?? should i get smaller wheels with higher profile tyres?my mechanic says shortened shocks wont make a difference.
Also the car is quite low, will the prodampers drop it further?? tanx in advance

#69098 Smaller wheels with a larger tyre profile would help not only with the ride but handling too so thats what i'd suggest

15" wheels and a 195/50/15 tyre is a good combination for an eg, plus the tyres are dead cheap too :P

#69135 Get the shocks, bushings and 15" wheels with the right size tires and it should ride better.

#69140 Good shocks and 15" wheels will make a huge difference. Go ahead and replace the bushings with factory units. Exactly what the other guys suggested! Do it! :thumb:

#69247 Thanks for the response guys, if i get the factory bushings and the shortened shocks will that be as good? Thing is I love my 17" rims and wouldnt want to part with them :( unless I really have to. So how much difference will the tyres make on their own??

#69248 does anyone have that setup?? if so how does it compare with stock comfort?

@ greasedmonkey: firstly tanx for your reply, when u say it should ride better, how close it that to stock?

#69249 should get different springs. i never like those ebiach springs. they ride like they have to much body roll. some decent springs like sprint springs are good. 15" wheel is good 16" wheel is what i run.

#69256 Most lowered suspension will not ride like stock. It has to be stiffer to handle the fact that its lower. That way its hard to bottom out.

#69402 Ditch the rims bro, 17's on a Honda are far too big. 15's are the way to go :thumb:

#69630 ya i got rota gt3s 15in 195/50/15. set of cheap lowering springs and stock shocks with like 250 k miles on them and rides nice. just for know ill be running this. but i would sujest the tokiko blues and some skunk 2 springs. thats what im going to run when i get the muulla$$$$$$. so ya just my 2 cents

#69661 Low profile tires, large heavy rims, stiff springs, and having the car too low will kill the ride quality. There's no getting around that.

How low is the car? I thought the Prokit was a relatively modest drop and not overly stiff (progressive rate springs). Did you cut the springs?

#69813 tanx to all you guys for the help :thumb:

@suspendedHatch. No, I didnt cut the springs. There's about a finger and a half gap above the tyres. The prokit is supposed to one of the softest springs; thats why I installed this, to get a comfy ride, but never work out.

Gona try changing to 15" tyres, factory bushings and see the difference.
One question wasnt answered tho, will shortened shocks cause the car to be lower??
