Appearance, Paint & Body Work

#115799 It seems like my driver door either had a dent pulled or just a real good hit to the door panel, but in either case the result is this:

What would be a good way to fix this so my door doesn't rust from the inside out? Rain has to be getting in because lower most crack creates a lip that water can run into. I have no body work experience; the only thoughts I had would be to try to get body filler in behind the crack and pray, or replace the door panel or the whole door and hope to match the color.

Any tips?

#115802 Putting body filler between the cracks wont help. replacing the whole door would be your easiest option but if there are no doors available at any junkyards or local honda d00dz then.. idk I would pull all the loose chunks off sand the edges clean out the rust (if any) and then body filler the crap outa it. Either way your going to have to repaint it so I would honestly try for a whole door replacement. GL

#115808 ^ I agree, either door replacement or sand it out then filler then repaint..

#115832 New door is what i'd do - thats been filled and painted before and you can see it rusting, not worth the effort repairing it when you can buy new doors cheap

#115977 Hey guys, I appreciate the info

Based on my lack of experience, I'm not sure if I would be comfortable sanding it down and trying to fill it, and then trying to blend and match paint/clear coat on top of that.

So in looking for a "new" door, do I have to find myself a 92-95 hatch? I tried comparing pictures online but it's hard to tell if say, a 92-95 coupe door would work. And once armed with that information, am I limited to junk yard hunting or are there reliable online stores I can check?

Thanks again, Civic-EG ftw :-D
