#169370 I have this pretty bad dent where the antenna goes and just wanted to get some suggestions on whats the best way to go about fixing this, more explanation under picture.

As you can see the lining where the body meets to the roof molding is smashed flat in the front, how can i possibly get that to the level its supposed to be, i took the pillar plastic off but i cannot hammer it up because the way the frame is welded. Im thinking of just trying to pop it up as much as i can and just fill it and level it with bondo, would this be a good idea, and if so whats the best kind of body filler to use to minimize cracks and have longetivity. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

#169557 dont fill it with bondo. it will just grack and fall off. you need a stud gun to pul it out as much as possible befor bondo. bondo- no more than the thickness of a dime. or 16th of an inch. never use bondo to fill. .it will fail.

#169581 Since theres holes for the aeriel, you could use a slide hammer to pull out the majority of the dent, or as above a pin puller if you can get one. Id use some kinda fibre fill first if you end up needing to fill it quite a bit, we use stuff called SMC but dunno if you get that in the states...

Thanks for the replies guys. Stud gun is pretty pricey, don't know anyone that may have one. I will get a slide hammer and try that. For the filler would you recommend "Evercoat Rage Extreme" its the second one down on the page: http://www.smartshoppersinc.com/automot ... rcoat.html

One more question, can/if i drill holes to pull out the dent, can i just fill the holes or do they have to be welded shut? Thanks again.

#169913 you can probably cut a section off another car and while you have your car in the body shop you can get those body shop people to replace it with the new piece

well i don't have the car in the shop right now, just bothering me everytime i look at it and just want to do something about it. im planning to take the car to the shop for paint in about six months. right now saving up and doing as much work i can on my own to save money.
