Headlights....

- Thu Feb 25, 2010 2:17 am #177604 Ok so since i have a job now im thinking about getting myself headlights that well are newer if you will dont get me wrong my headlights are ok but the one bolt is broken on the bracket....

(the one closest to the hood center....)

Anyhow that puts alignment out a bit but theres also the whole bouncing thing my headlights do when i hit a bump....

but i could let all that slide if my headlights werent so damn dim.....to be honest ive never been happy with the brightness of my headlights i mean they are as bright as stock is and to me that isnt good enough i like to see everything at night and well i cant see much yea if im on a dark road i can see my beams but my headlights are drowned out by mere dim street lamps......

So im thinking HID's since my buddy has them in his integra and to be honest it seems to be alot nicer to see with yet there are laws prohibiting the brightness or something like that in NY....idk the extent but yea

I would like to eb street legal and i dont want cheapy plastic headlights either.....

So if anyone could help me in pointing me in the right direction i mean i could figure out how to fix my stock headlights however things are getting rusty and old on them so i think its time to go get some new ones and upgrade the look of my car.....

So please help lol any info would be greatly appreciated.

really, really is hell-a bright. light up the entire road, and have a nice clean cut of rays.

- Thu Feb 25, 2010 7:03 am #177664 yeah projector headlights and HIDs are a really good combo cause projector lights have projector lense vs. OEM (you know).

The only problem is that many mature men here will find it rice (which I obviously dont lol)

Id consider maybe getting denji's with amber or clear corners.

Here in AZ HID's are a secondary offense which means that they cannot be the sole purpose of why the cop pulled you over, dunno about NY though - wuite honestly i dont think they would care that much lol. either way it'll be a fix it ticket, which you "took care of"

but yeah, HID's is your main strategy

- Thu Feb 25, 2010 7:19 am #177669 i actually did get pulled over the other day, and the first thing the cop did was walk over and look at my headlights. he bent down and looked at them.. he suspected that i was blinding traffic.
didn't mention anything to me though, just looked at my license and drove away. no other mention.

and there are plenty of people in my town that drive with HID's but without a projector housing, many of them blinding traffic all around. therefore, i strongly advise you to get the R type HID bulbs (D1R, D2R, D3R, or D4R) because those are the ones meant to go into non projector housing, otherwise you will be blinding all traffic, regardless of how well they are aimed.

Hell florida you can do what ever the fuck you want and i find itstrange this is the first time i see people posted on my thread lol since i first posted it didnt come up when i came home from work yesturday ohhh well thanks for the ideas definately alot to think about....
