I need to remove my tail lights (hatchback), I see beads of water in there so I want to take them apart, dry them, and reseal them.

Anyway, how are they being held in there?

Do I need to remove the bumper?

- Mon Sep 06, 2010 11:50 pm #212536 I know you dont need to pop off the bumper the hardest part of the whole process is takeing out the 4 8mm bolts with the rear interior plastics on its possible but rather difficult....

there are 4 8mm nuts 1 each corner of the light and just unplug the harness on the taillights to take it off......

- Tue Sep 07, 2010 5:09 am #212576 you have to take off the the rear plastics to get to all the bolts holding on the lights. Its not hard, just take your time and be careful.

Just use a 8mm wrench, some patience and alot of moving your hand around and you will be set.
