Here's the real DIY
1) Buy HID Kit
2) Install HID kit,

3) get tired of the kit then do a retrofit

#67168 ok.....
1. I removed the front bumper(5 screws on top, 2 bolts on the bottom ,and 1 screw on each side of the corners of the bumper), headlights, and turn signals. 1st pic
2. I mounted the ballasts in the most secure spots I could find near the headlights. 2nd and 3rd pic
3. I then put the HID bulbs in where the regular bulbs go and locked them in with the hinge thats on the headlight housing. There are two sets of wires running from the bulb. One goes the the stock adapter, the other goes to the ballast. After that I turned them on to make sure it worked.
4th and 5th pic.

Its really simple and doesn't take too much time. I'd say 1-1.5 hours tops.
Its DIY because you're doing it yourself rather than paying a performance shop to install it for you.

#67170 I took mines off for 2 reasons.
1. I had to replace one of my headlights because it was cracked.
2. I wanted as much room as possible to plug everything in and to see exactly where I was going to mount the ballasts.

It's pretty easy man, HID kits are pretty much plug&play. You just have to use one side of your headlight wires, the other just tape it off. And it usually comes with instruction manuals. Trust me, I dunno anything about these stuffs before but I did it. :thumb:

#68437 umm... don't you need the projector to keep the HID's from blinding the shit outta people and actually aim the light where you need it? does anyone have any night time shots of their lights?

#68441 I have a question... I have some denji wanabe headlights.... Is it possible to get an hid kit for that and have them plug and play? Do I buy the hid kit for an h3 bulb? The only reason I ask this is... the Oem headlights connector connects to the H4 bulb.... The denji wanabes connector looks like the exact one from the original headlights... I just want to know before i buy them.....
