#87853 well just to paint an exterior will usualy start at round a grand. and bout 100$ per jamb. if you are really wanting to know go drive around and find some local paint shops. they all should give free estamates. and if you want a paint job for less go to macco. but ill tell you the cheaper you pay the cheaper it will look. some shops use crap for paint and clear. ask them what they use. spies hecker and du pont are awsome. dont get some no name paint on your car. it will last for 2-3 years and befor you know it the clear is pealing and lookin like ass.

#87855 my paintjob costed 2500 euro. (3421 US dollar)
But it is OEM color from Ford on my civic. So only the paint it self already had a price of 750 euro (1020 US dollar)
But normaly you sould be done for 1500 euro (Inside and outside of your car)

#87857 It cost me £240 to get my rear 3/4 and bumper sprayed and they did an awesome job...

I was then quoted £400 for the same panel and bumper as well as the door, drivers fender and front bumper including some damage repair and rust removal

Horses for courses tbh, some people will charge loads for an OK job and others will charge a reasonable amount for a very good job. I'd go on reccomendation more than anything else

#87948 I'm paying roughly £850-£900 for a 3 stage pearl, and the majority of the inside is to be painted also and that's from a good body shop who worked on my friends Audi. Always look at the work they do, even have a look around their shop and certainly ask what paint they use and how they intend to smooth out any dings etc... as a lot of body shops tell you your getting the full works but behind close doors, they will simply strip the top coat of paint, spray and clear it and be done, so you find yourself in a shit position a couple of years down the line.

My friend payed £400 for his spray, and believe me there is a world of difference between his crx and the job I have my car booked in for. dont go cheap if your going to keep your car is what I say :)

#87949 BTW, the price above includes both rear arches and rear quaters having some work done, cutting and plating :)

Heh. Like my car.

I think what I'm going to do is wetsand the clear off the entire car and just have a dull red finish, which I would be fine with. The peeling clear just looks ick.

#88165 you get what you pay for with paint.. with that in mind you can get a very good paint job for roughly $1000 that you will be happy with for a long time.

#88508 thanks guys. like i said i had all body work professionally done, that was about a year ago. so i wont have to figure in any dent or ding repairs, and it is in grey primer right now. i have about $1200 left for paint and assumed that would get a quality gunmetal paintjob, but didnt know if gunmetal was an expensive paint or anything like that. i was quoted when i had the body work done for $1200-$1400 for a pearl white to blue paint so i figured 1200 would be enough.
