Recently my drivers door started to squeak really badly when opening and closing. I sprayed some wd-40 and it help a bit, but it's still annoying. How can I go about fixing this properly?? I didn't notice any door sag or rust on the hinges or anything..

Thanks for your help

dont use wd-40 that will just work temporaly. you need to use a sylicone lube. you can get it from auto parts store. wd40 will actually start to brake the grase down and will make it worse over time. plus the lube is cheaper than wd-40. :thumb:

as someone mentioned, most of the time on older vehicles its the door check that squeaks

it drys out over time.... most of the time i use bearing/axle grease

get a rubber glove, with the door fully open lube the part that you see, top and bottom, open/close the door alot, repeat if necessary and that usually stops your squeaking for quite some time

sometimes it still squeaks and you need to remove the door panel and lube it from the inside

you obviously don't know what wd40 does. its not for a lubricant.

take the mouse out of your door, its obviously stuck in there.

;) i use used engine oil. i have a can that the tin man has when he oils joints, squirt some of that in there and just work it in on the hinge.

Dont diss wd40 - if it cant fix it nothing can!
