flex agent question

I was thinking about spraying my car primer gray with a spray gun and duplicolor primer. I talked to my dad and he said I would need flex agent. We've painted soap box derby cars and what not and used flex agent because they were plastic. I was just curious if I would need to add it to the primer when painting the plastic pieces to prevent cracking and chipping. And the paint jugs come in 32 ounce cans. How many would you guys think I would need to do the entire car?

It will help prevent cracking if your bumper flexes or you bump into something. I'd do it. I don't know how much you'll need. The ratio should be on the jug.
