i have noticed some pics of eg sedans having rear window wipers installed. where can you buy them? are they hard to find?

thanks for posting it for me. looks neat, yes? sure seems useful to have one installed...if they're easy to find.

you know that you'd more then likely have to have the rear glass replaced as well...

in addition to the rear glass, you will most likey need the motor assembly, interior trim, and the switch that controls the unit- Probably similar to the switch that hatchbacks have. Then if there is a washer fluid sprayer (looks like there is one on the roof), you'll need the washer tank with the second pump & all the tubing to run to the back window and the sprayer assembly.

This is the first time I've seen a sedan rear wiper though, very unique 8)

Yes, very unique but in no way worth the hassle.

i am trying to remember the site where i first saw this variant but it is labeled as a "jdm" model. i guess even in japan its rather rare too. seems like some big work though even if i can find one to begin with.

my 93 eg came without a rear window defogger. are there aftermarket mods perhaps that would enable me to install one without changing the glass? i understand in oem ones these are sandwiched in between layers.

I personally think it dosn't suit the Sedan, even though it is a very unique design. Different I must say, but ugly. To responce to the above question, the rear window has fine metal elements built into the glass, so the only way to solve your problem if you really wanted a rear heated window would be to replace it, but as the window screen wiper requires, this would also require a power source.

sounds like too much work for both applications. i like the wiper for its functionality and practicality though.

i was thinking of maybe some sort of "stick on" heater element or something but obviously there's none. :?
