which welders kit

- Thu Jul 31, 2008 9:11 pm #64154 so was up guys i want to buy a welding kit to take care of my rear quater panel rust. now i dont know which one to buy its going to be utilize to weld the rear panel and fix the fenders. which one :x or what should I use to attach the rear panel?
1. Flux wire 90 amp
2. Arc 80 amp

- Fri Aug 01, 2008 1:11 pm #64208 Get a MIG welder. Flux wire = sloppy messy welds, use the C75 gas (I think that's what it's called) for clean welds.

You can find good deals on ebay, I got a Lincoln 115v Mig + all accessories for $430. Then buy or rent a canister from a local welding supply shop.

The first time I did body work, all the equipment I bought payed for itself and now I have the luxury of fixing anything metal :woot:
