- Thu May 21, 2009 9:14 pm #118138 Hi i have a 1995 civic Hatch CX I picked it up for free kind of. because the person i got it off i am doing some bodywork on there car for it. but the motor has 250,000km on it and it had rust where hondas allways rust. all it needs for safty is tierods, wipermotor, cluster and floors that are really easy to fix because its like 2 inch hole. here are some pics of what it looked like when i got it and after the bodywork.

that is my first paint job. I allso have some mods i am going to put on it. right now i have some 15s that need to be cleaned up and get tires for. next is a lowering kit i am geting for free from my uncles step son he said its a 2 or 4 inch lower kit. then intake and muffler then hoping in a year or 2 a B18. - Fri May 22, 2009 12:46 am #118172 thanks. there is one thing i need to ask. my speedo does not work right sometimes it will jump to the speed i am going like i am doing 50 it will read 0 then jump to 50 then back down or just keeps jumping then stop. do i have to get a new cluster? if so i can get a Si cluster with tach will it just plug in and the rpm will work or do i have to add a new wire?

Sounds like it might be your speed sensor.

once they fully shit out it'll throw a CEL. i'm on the hunt myself for used speed sensors....

no vtec here so its not a huge issue for me. mine works bout half the time then does exactly what yours does.... picked this one up for 20 bucks, lasted two days and started goin crazy. search continues....

- Fri May 22, 2009 5:54 am #118213 it doesnt have to been only SI cluster just one with a tach i forgot witch model had a tach other than the SI.....looks good man im going to school for paint and body here in Oklahoma keep up the practice man
