just wondering before i fork out a loadddd of money if it is worth it, are there many benefits?

I would think for the price, there's more effective ways to stiffen up the chassis with braces

#120308 yeah but a 4 point cage wont protect you in a wreck.... the cage is behind you and can still cave in on your head.. also if you have 4 point harnesses in a car with a 4 point cage it is unsafe... i wouldnt waist the money unless its just for looks

i would go for injecting hardened polysynthetic rubber compound in to your chassis seams, its what big names like jun auto and top secret in japan do if that want to run a street car with no cage but keep the stiffness. it fills all the gaps in the sills and around the body where the layers have been welded in the factory.

wrong!!! :thumbdown: because when you have a 4 point it is behind you and can still cave toward your head... if you have a 4 point harness it limits your movement of how you move your head and holds it in the same place so it will get smashed if your roof caves in.... Cages in daily drivers aren't safe for the driver unless you are wearing a helmet.

um...no. 4 point harness is much safer than a regular belt. A 4 point cage will in fact be safe than not having one at all. The main hoop is right behind the front seats. which will stop the roof from crumpling into your head. Yes the front part will smash in, but not enough to hit your head. 4, 6, and some 8 point cages dont have anything that braces the complete roof from windshield to bback seats either.

Technically, with any cage, you need to have padding on the bars and wear a helmet. the cage will hurt you in most roll overs as your head flys about and hit them.
