#165778 pictures would help greatly if its right where the shifter goes theres boots that cover that area up any other place could mean if it looks factory the previous owner may have done a auto to 5spd conversion...

#165789 If it's a converted auto car you might be out of luck. There's supposed to be a weather seal around the shifter on a manual trans car, I have no idea what it's like on an auto car.

#165791 Yep your car used to be an auto. You can cut a patch out of sheet metal and weld it in to the big hole or just cut a rectangle bigger than the hole and put a nice thick bead of silicone sealant around it and slap it on. Be sure to clean the area first.

It looks like the person who did the swap got the manual shifter positioned correctly :thumb:

The only other thing to check for is the passenger side mount. For a manual swap you either have to cut and re weld the mount bracket over a couple inches, or buy a conversion mount (much easier). If they cut, moved and re welded the bracket in the wrong place, it can put your tranny & axles at the wrong angle, which will decrease an axle's life span.

A converted car is just as good as one that was 5 speed from the factory, when done right.

To cover up the hole around the shifter, you'll need #6 from this pic:

You'll still need to make a metal patch to cover the big square hole, with a smaller hole in that for part #6 above.

and then the pleather shift boot if you want it to look pretty:

#165849 im unsure if your stock hole will allow you to use these seals it may im not completely up to date on automatics lol but yea you can really get them from and honda civic and acura integra 5spd i have a few theres two boots in all but yea....

the mounts are what holds the motor to the car itself youll see on top of the transmission a black mount its rounded (and youll see there is two peices of metal if you will comming off of the frame of the car....connecting by one bolt through the mount. and the mount is held on the transmission by 3 bolts.
hopefully that description helps a bit im unable to get a picture on this computer but yea you have a conversioned car seems liek at least that part was done correctly....take a couple pictures of your engine bay and pedal assembly and we can help you if there is something that dosent seem correctly.

#165855 Hey thanks ill take the pics tomorrow but the part I'm talking about is not the plastic blac part in the pic I mean the actual reounded metal onto which the plastic piece goes on....I would then have to weld that piece to cover my hole other wise id never be able to have that black weather seal.....so that black rubber piece is a boot then the leather boot goes over that????
