I was really freaked out the first time too. I was afraid I would break it. But after about four times of removing it, I'm a pro. I can take it off in about two minutes. Blame it on my JDM clock and JDM si-r cluster.
Pro tip, grab a flat head screwdriver, or a plastic putty knife to wedge it in there where ever you feel the clips giving you resistance. I usually have a hard time getting it off at the vent nearest the tach on the cluster. or the one furthest to the right. Once you have all the clips, just wiggle it back and forth until it jostels loose.
Hope this helps!
