Civic EG

I am looking at buying a 92 civic hatchback that needs a paint job bad. So these are my questions.

Its black with some primer spots, I want to just rough it up a little with sandpaper wash it then start the painting process. I want to do the body black, but want a little variation in color.

I always see white civics around here with black hoods.

What would the reverse look like? Black body white hood?

Or any other ideas trying to keep it as low budget as possible.

And how much should I expect to spend?

If you want black - i would add the variant colour in the form of your wheels.

It would look like crap...Dont do that. Just paint it the same color as the body.

I hope nope I have been looking for a eg hatch forever and I cant find them.
Well i actually at first wanted red body black hood, but someone told me red wouldnt do good scuffing the old paint and painting over, they told me it would cost more

idk thats wat a buddy told me, and i only need it to last less than a year. then im leaving to the marines.

so your gonna dump money into a car, drive for 1 year, then leave for the marines.....? why dont you just get the car, clean er up, then put her into storage till you return.. then you will have enough money to get a reall paint job... why waste time and mony on somthing that 1: will look like ass 2: wont even last a year 3: its going to be more work than you want...why ruin a nice car with a shitty paintjob?

Cause when I get out of bootcamp im getting a different car, and if I dont I might just keep it then put a better paint job, getting it and putting it in a shed isnt an option i wrecked my decked out eclipse gt with liability only insurance. I need a ride. And I got friends that paint cars. trust me a walmart water color paintjob would look better than what its got on it.

Oh ok i gotcha. I think ive decided to go red body with black hood. Untill after boot then Its a carbon fiber hood.
