Civic EG

This is a civic hatch i am looking at, I think its a bit overpriced, but yet I cant find any other hatches close to this price. Gimme your opinion
Body - 110k miles
Motor - roughly 75k
aftermarket shocks and springs
5 speed
short throw shifter
never heard of this one before but engine swap is a jdm sohc vtec-e swap
He said bumper fender and hood has been replaced. all of them are primered.

He will be sending me more pictures later and I will post them as I get them, but any thoughts/opinions/concerns?

good start there. 2k? i would try to work him down a lil bit... i would say 1600$... also have him take pics of the engine stamp... but go test it out.. look at the brakes, any porly repaird repairs...

he said at first he was asking 2500 i kinda laughed on the inside.

was the hood, bumper, fenders replace because it was wrecked?

my 92 civic sedan at this type of engine.

id say its worth 1500-1700 but no more

guess you could consider the D15B 3-stage vtec a vtec-e. i'd check the engine code. if it just says D15B then its worth while. if its D15B## then its definitely not a JDM motor. i cant find any single cams that are from japan and labeled vtec-e

They do make a vtec-e swap. They say it gets better fuel economy and is just as fast as a regular jdm d15b but i dont know. and yeah I agree with the whole working him down about 300 more.

Just keep looking dude..If he wont drop the price to at least 1500, I wouldn't even waste my time waiting on pics. This is not a good deal for 2k.

the vtec-e is a shit motor. its bascily the same as a stock non vtec d series.

the 3 stage vtec D15B is supposedly a little quicker..maybe cause it pops vtec twice

both put down bout the same exact power though.

I got about 2 weeks to get a car before school start.
And all the ones I am seeing are decked out and want more than i can afford.

I just want to a stock one or one with at the most an engine swap.

P.S. No luck finding any elderly couples who just so happen to have one, lol
