how much am i looking to spend to rebuild a stock 94 civic engine?
or would it be cheaper to get it replaced with a used engine?
either way i go how much am i looking to spend?

im not sure, i haven't purchased the car yet, i just know its going to need either a new engine, not actually new prolly rebuilt, or for the engine in it to be rebuild.

I have a mechanic I know that would probably change the engine for me with a little money, but i need to know where to look for engines, and what engine would be the best bang for not too much buck.

first you need to find out what the engine code is. is it a bseries or dseries.. if we dont have the info we cant really do much..

just talked to the guy, he said he is not near the car, isnt too sure, but its the 1.3L he believes. stock engine in the civic cx

here.. ther all used with between 25,000 and 30,000 miles. all tested and ready. look for full swaps with ecu,harness,axels,motor mounts, and tranny..

wait ima need to replace tranny too?

haha. yup. the motor in that thing is bunk.. and yes you would need trannt to.. otherwise you would need to rebuild you 1.3. they are not inerchangable. b series to bseries- dseries to dseries.

Well ima have to rebuild it for now and worry about replacing it later, cause I dont have that much money right now, that will have to be for after i get into the marines.

ya. a rebuild should be farly cheap. maby call the dealer or look on like ebay for rebuild kits...

how would a 94 hatch in or around baton rouge have a 1.3? they never had the 1.3 in the states, chances are its a d15b7
