rear window rattles!!

my hatch rattles supppper bad! what can be done to fix this problem??? i dont have the hatch struts on the window right now but i ordered some, wouold this make it rattle?? i mean this rattle is crazzzzy bad

did you check the bolts that mount it to the roof, also check the parts that mount to the glass make sure they are tight. your hatch should latch nice and tight, the gas lifts shouldnt have any thing to do with it.

Yup What he said^.. the struts being missing wont make it rattle... check the 4 screw up top.. if you go outside you hatch and pull on the window, is it loose and shakey???

ok ill try tightening all the bolts. but yes if i got out side thew car the rear hatch is shakey and i can pull it up a lil bit. ill try tightening the bolts now and let you guys kjnow what happens., thanks again

You can always adjust the latch on the window itself. Move it closer to the glass, and it will make it seal tighter.

ok cool how can i adjust the latch?? cause i tried tightening the bolts and they are super tight already.

take the black plastic cover off the latch on the glass. IT cover the wiper motor if you have that.
Should be two allen bolts, just loosen and move the latch which ever way it needs to move to seal better.

ok cool thanks alot for all the help. im gonna try that when i get home in about a hour. it definatly sounds like it should fix my problem
