#193339 i have a civic dx that comes with manual windows and locks i was wondering if i can convert them to power windows and power locks? iv looked everywhere but cant find anything that will help.. also iif iget the parts from another honda not a hatchback will it fit in my hatchback?? thanks..

#193483 People have swapped OEM parts, but you should be aware that there are aftermarket parts that probably cost about the same but will be much much easier to install. And you could use OEM switches to control them.

Spal, Autoloc, and others make power window conversion kits. They work by having a motor that you mount inside the door. It's connected to your manual window handle with a slim arm. The advantage is that they're much quieter and much more reliable than old OEM.

Many companies make doorlock actuators including DEI. Unfortunately aftermarket actuators are somewhat louder/harsher and more difficult to install. But on the plus side they are cheaper and more reliable than OEM.

#194460 search it on google they have plenty of pics..did the swap my self on my eg pretty easy actually..if u go to a junk yard they will probably charge you less than 100 bucks..its pretty much plug and play ill try to find the link for you or probably take pictures from my car..its worth it especially if you have no ac or when its raining..
