So I was wondering if anyone knew how to take the rear window dampers off and install new ones from a 92 Honda civic hatch and how hard is it to do and where I can buy new dampers? Also I went to the dealer just to see how much they are and of course there gonna be hella expensive at Honda $103 for each, crazy :?

moving this to Chassis- Hatchback since it doesn't really relate to California :thumb:

They come off by loosening the bolts.
Yeah don't do to the local dealership, they'll rape you.

check www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

$68 each. Junk Yard will be your best deal :thumb:

Got them replaced and yup, OEM is the way to go. Very easy, bolts like Teal said and the new unit will require you to snap the adapter together.

Very easy. Note, the struts are special order, so it might take couple of days but it will come and you will be so happy to install the new unit.

integra =way too long you need ones built just for a civic hatch since there are many different sizes etc.....

Get $ of them and use the extra 2 for hood dampers =]
