Ok so I have a mini me swap in my 92 Honda civic si hatch, but I was wondering why just like 3 days ago after I smogged which I passed by the way why my car starts harshly after sitting for awhile like a few hrs. I have to give it some gas to start it up. Can this be a fuel problem? Could it be my starter? I checked all my fuses and replaced them with new ones. Also I put a new thermostat and ngk spark plugs. Also I did the d15b7 with a d16z6 head if this helps my question to narrow it down. Also I'm waiting on my adjustable cam gear to come in the mail so could it also be timing?

It could be timing, but that would usually make it run bad consistently. It could be a fuel pump/fuel filter problem. I would check into that. Did you replace your ECU when you did the mini me swap?

No my ecu is still a p28 cuz my car is a si and it had a stock d16z6 but I threw a rod so I ditched the bad block and bought a d15b7 block and mated them. I'm thinking the same about the bad timing since both blocks use diff timing so I bought a adjustable cam gear but haven't put it in yet

Do u have a check light on if u do get the code this problem can be gas or a fuckd up senser I had a bad coolent tempeture senser and when I hit my car 2 start in the morrning it will put out 2 much gas and won't start... I don't think its ur pump or ur filter if that was the problem the car will run bad when u step on the gass.....also check ur main realy

im having the same problem..the idle would go down like its about to stallout then it goes up and corrects its self but when the car throws a code 1 which is 02 sensor the problem doesn't not occurs at all..this was after a valve adjustment so its probably the 02 sensor or my valve clearances..i dont thik its the iacv but not 100 percent sure..imma try to get a valve ajustment if that doesnt work then ill change the 02 and if thats not the problem then i'll change the iacv.. but let me know if you resolve this problem ur self, it would be a great help..
