Removing Door Panels

Trying to get it off, what tool have you guys used to get that clip out of the manual window regulator handle ?

Most parts stores also sell a "specialty" tool, it's usually around $10 or so, I picked one up as it makes it a lot easier.

It's like a unique set of pliers that you pinch the spring with and compress it. Then you can pop the handle off and pull the spring out.

use a rag in between the door and the handle, works like a charm.

LOL... good thing you didnt go blind.. :P

I was changing my buddy's U-joints on his chevy, and one of the clips shot at me. I think clips are out to get us all! :lol:

You are cracking me up.

I used to pull those panels off on a daily basis at my work. We kept extra clips because they were bound to go flying off into oblivion.

And if they hit the ground they're bound to fly literally 10 feet away, it's incredible what those things can do.

I can't comment on that because I've never been able to find one and confirm its trajectory. I'm no astrophysicist, but I'm pretty sure they fall through the earth since the spaces between their atoms are big enough that the atoms don't collide.
