ideas for my second car anyone? oviously eg

got my permit 4 months back! so i pretty much have 2 moths to find and start to build a car. i drove my dads saab on boost so i kno i want turbo. any ideas motor wise, exterior wise?
i got a eg hatch for my 16th birthday i added a couple mods and i recently sold it.

what are you going to be using the car for mainly? street, daily, track?

As it's your first car, I would surgest boosted D :thumb:

Then if you get bored of it, you could always upgarde to a B-H-K.

exterior wise look for rust, if it's too much run away from it. It's better to have more money to build the engine than to be fixing rust. as for the engine i would say look for the obvious (there's no certain way of knowing if an engine is bad without opening it), no smoking or sounds coming from the engine. if your going to build a turbo is good to know that you're building on a solid platform.

i would also suggest getting a D series if you plan on boosting it for the simple fact that you're a new driver and a boosted D wouldnt put as much power to the ground as would a B-H-K series motor would.

pft..

turbo d can put down plenty. In fact, turbo Ds usually have more torque than B or K boosted.



I would leave the car stock personally, and learn how to control the car WITHOUT power. Suspension etc..and then worry about power once you figured out the car. It also helps to understand your budget, mechanical skills will play into this factor.
