- Mon Jan 19, 2009 6:10 am #90040 im going to pick up an engine pretty soon that i can rebuild for my civic for the summer, however, how do i check what engine i have??

its a 92 civic cx hatch, automatic, now I did have a look into this and found that i have a 1.5 engine, and it has a something like 70 hp.... the thing is when i put my foot down, i can tell you now it has way more than 70 hp!!

its a sohc engine. and till i ehar from you guys thats all i can tell ya,

- Mon Jan 19, 2009 4:29 pm #90115 Since you're in Canada I'm pretty sure you have the 16 valve non VTEC engine rated about 100 crank hp that we got in the DX here in the states.
