Civic noob - CX have power steering?

- Sun Apr 05, 2009 7:29 pm #108471 i just picked up a 93 CX a few months ago for 1000 bucks...i love it....but just a few questions. Ive noticed its kinda hard to steer...do these civics not have power steering or is mine just messed up? Another thing is why is my suspension jacked up in the front and slammed in the rear? any cheep fix or cheap way to lower it? any help is appreciated...

- Sun Apr 05, 2009 7:43 pm #108474 alright, im glad i got that all cleared up lol...o and one more thing, i got an oil change the other day and i got in the car and it felt normal but when i takeoff in first the car hesitates a little and i feel the rpms drop....did they screw my car up or is my clutch going or something?

P/S or no P/S, that is the question

Here are a few steps that I would like you to follow exactly as written.

Step 1. Go to you car
Step 2. Get in the car
Step 3. Pull the hood release lever
Step 4. Open the hood
Step 5. Place the hood prop in the correct location, so it will not crush your smart self.
Step 6. Blink a few times to warm up your eyeballs.

Step 7. LOOK FOR A POWER STEERING PUMP!:x

Step 8. Review your findings and you will have your answer

uncalled for and the question was already answered. You just needed to read.

As for the hesitation, was it running fine before the oil change?

- Mon Apr 13, 2009 7:51 pm #110368 I appologize to everyone that found my reply offensive. I couldn't help myself. I mean... it was set up perfectly for that. If it wasn't me, someone else would have probably done the same. You have to admit it was kinda funny. I'll try not to do it again. I am a noob myself but only a noob to this forum. I'll try to keep it straight from now on. The hesitation could possibly be cheap gas or possibly the gas had started to gel up. He recently purchased this ride correct? Who knows how long it had set before he got his hands on it. I have seen this happen before. Try changing the fuel filter and then if you want to be safe, mix in some DryGas with the fuel. Then after that has been run through you could take the injectors out and dip the ends into some injector cleaner. Just some options. Who knows you could possibly have a spark plug that is gaped incorrectly. Heck, you could even be getting a weak spark due to old plug wires, maybe it is arcing across the wires. This is not very common but it can happen. There are many factors that could cause this. Let me know what you find.

It was running pretty much flawless and immediatley after i got in it i felt a difference, not a huge difference but enough to notice. now a week or two later it's running fairly normal, it's just something's not right. I think I might take the advice for the fuel system though, my buddy said he'd swap the injectors and clean stuff for me and all that. Any suggestions for fuel system parts/modifications?
