For Sale & Want to Buy

#96931 Okay I'll stop talking you out of it. I have my heart set on a bone stock, red Integra hatchback. Hopefully it'll still be for sale when you buy mine. It's going to be the next causeforalarm.

The exhaust is definitely much quieter than any aftermarket exhaust. Doesn't at all sound like a Honda. Maybe an H22. Definitely not like the ricers that buzz around here.

I thought it would be near stock sounding; but it's not. So if you don't buy the car I would most likely turbocharge it. That will dampen the exhaust level! But I promised my son a drum set if he gets good grades so I really shouldn't.

Bring your ipod! I have 1850 songs on mine. Car stereo ipod hookup beats the hell out of having a book of CD's. This car was MADE for long distance trips, remember?

There's about 5000 freeway miles and a couple hundred city miles on the swap. I did a lot of back and forth from San Diego where I lived, to Albuquerque where the swap and tune were performed at Motiva, and then to Salt Lake City and a few trips to Las Vegas. My work isn't that far away. I put about 50 miles a week on it. I wrote the mileage and date of the swap down on a calendar, just like how I keep track of oil changes, but now I don't know which box buried in the closet holds that little treasure. It was Oct or Nov 2007.

I have the receipt for the engine! I have the original owners manual and warranty booklet. I have the smog / safety inspection, dyno graph, instructions for the suspension, alarm, stereo, and other parts. I have the original box for the AEM EMS and UEGO. Also have the white faces for the UEGO still in the wrapper.

VIN is 2HGEH2367NH534398

Current miles are 224214.

I did find a tiny little spot of surface rust LOL.

More noticeable are the wear spots on the roof paint where the previous owner had a roof rack.

Not so bad on passenger side.

Two of the HX's have some pitting.

I can't in good conscience send you off on the Kumho's. They're not north latitude friendly. It would crush me to hear that you went off the road on the way home and hurt my car. The Michelins that I have on the skinnier HX rims, combined with the LSD tranny, are unbelievable in the snow and on ice. At work I park my car in a wide drainage gutter that is always frozen over. My coworkers warned me not to, but the car drives right out of it like it's not even there. I had to raise the car a half inch when I first moved here though. Deep deep snow could be a problem but I've never encountered that here.

So the HX's are yours. If you really want the Slipstreams make an offer. They'll fit in there. I'll give you a great deal.

Keep the questions coming. 5 grand is a lot of money. And if you feel jipped you can slander my name across the internet.

#96935 Grant wheel, UEGO gauge (there's a better shot of the pod on causeforalarm). Note the rub spot on the carpet under the clutch.

No seat tear.

Image

Back seats are super clean. No one ever goes back there.

Image

I know. Red intake is ugly as sin. There's another reason to turbo!

Image

There's no rust underneath. The exhaust is all brand new stainless and the suspension all came off an Integra in California. Every bolt has anti-seize on it. Looks like it's time to hit the underside with the pressure washer again.

Here's the carfax before I bought it. Add me registering it circa Aug 2007, then me failing smog a bunch of times as I dialed the tune in.

#97252 Everyone is telling me I am crazy and you wouldn’t be selling it if there wasn’t something wrong with it, and I think I was starting to listen to them. I am clear, though, that this is the perfect car for me.

However, looking at this car has caused me to do a surprising amount of soul searching (for a car, go figure!?). As you know, sometimes life has other plans for us, and it appears to be winning for now. So, I’m going to do the unthinkable, be carless. Thanks for all the work you did, and posting it all online. Good luck to you and yours.
