#112667 I have a budget of 3500. I found a Nice Integra 4dr LS Auto. that falls into this price point. Once bought I would do a Auto to Maunal swap that would cost about 1100 or so.

I have also been looking into getting a new Engine for my EG Sedan. Its current engine burns oil pretty good and the tranny's main input shaft is going out. I have been thinking of the B18c1 GSR. For the same price as the Integra I can get the whole engine swap, B18c1, Non-LSD Tranny, Axles, ECU, Shifter, Mounts, etc. Basically the whole swap to put it into my Sedan.

Going with the B18c1 into my Sedan will be a little bit cheaper, However I can get a Integra with all the options, a/c, p/s, power windows, bumping system, lowered on nice springs, for not much more. It will be slower then the sedan with a B18c1 in it, However will make a very nice car for driving in town. It would also be a good project to work on.

I am torn bewteen these two options. I kinda wanna get out of Racing. With a B18c1 it would be harder then if I had an Auto Integra. But I also like fast cars. I wouldn't get A/C, I wouldn't get Cruise, I wouldn't get power windows, These are things I can add to my EG Sedan. But I could get them in a Car now that would meet what power requirements I want. I am not looking for a Street Racer, Just something fun and will give a Sprited run.

If I ended up getting the Integra, I would put a JDM SOHC VTEC 1.6 ZC into my Sedan. I am leaning on getting the Integra ATM.

Pics of Integra in Questions: Wont Come with Rims, I would put my LSwebs onto it.

#112669 quick question, isnt the 1.6 ZC engine the DOHC non-VTEC out of an EF CRX? and then the 1.6 z6 is the SOHC VTEC?

the dohc zc was originally non vtec and came in many different forms (d16a1 form the 1t gen teggy, zc in the 88-91 obd0 civics, and they even made a 92-95 obd1 dohc zc motor....but they also made sohc zc's most where vtec but some where non-vtec)

And to answer the original question.....

Id say if you can get parts fr the 4dr teg do it since 4dr tegs are sweet and im kinda partial to them over the 2drs....plus i mean down the road you can always spring for a 5spd conversion for the thing and that really isnt that hard to do. the most expensive thing i think youll find is that blasted transmition and finding one someone hasnt already beat to heck....anywho to me its a toss up the 4dr integra looks nice and stuff like that and your 4dr youve put a fair amount of work into already.....in the end its your decision....but i do have to say to me its easier to find a civic part than it is an integra around where i live i mean forums they are everywhere but your community if something went wrong with it youd have to find it asap and probaly couldnt wait on shipping....

Thanks for everyones input. I took it into consideration when making my decision.

The Poll is not surprising. I would have voted for the B18c1 swap 3-4 months ago, Getting a GSR in a light light EG8 Sedan would be stupid fast with basic i/h/e. Then I add some go fast gas from my old coupe and BAM! Retarded fast/Non stop traction issues. Not what I need when leaving the racing scene.

I do want the added convince of Cruise Control, and A/C, and Power Windows. I was going to do an Integra Interior Swap into my Sedan as I love integra Interiors, If I get a Integra I wont need to do it. Getting an Integra is alot easier then making my Civic into an Integra with a Different shell. lol.

I will still build up my Sedan. I will probally get a JDM ZC SOHC VTEC or JDM D15b and put into my Sedan. If I dont end up getting this Integra, I will probably get different 94-01 Integra 4dr.

I am going to go take a look at the integra tomorrow morning. If everything is clean and the engine doesn't burn oil or anything I will probably get it.

If I get the Integra I will be doing an Auto to Manual conversion, It wont be right away, But it will be done. I will most likely also build a LSvtec for it, Give it a 98-01 Front end and a good lip for the rear. I am not worried about any downtime. I will have 2 cars, and if both are down, Say I total out the Integra I can swap everything into the EG8, I have access to a '01 Integra LS Hatch Automatic.
