#143605 all this arguing aside, they are both good motors, and either is a good option, depending on your skill level, plug and play wins hands down in my opinion, the ability to buy a motor setup, and just drop it in, with little to no wiring work, is priceless. although all this talk about other car manufacturers, Nissan's RB26Dett is the Japanese motor of all time.

Incorrect,

I read what you said, you might have meant one thing but sure didnt right it like that, you started going off the trail about the k beeing replaced by the j motor after only x amount of years, which 100% incorrect, as i stated that i could go out today and buy a 2009 civic pop the bonnet and find a k series under there,

B series is old news technology, sure its good but there is a better version out now, thats a fact!!

Once again you are just showing that either your blind or just stupid, not once have i said that any motor has replaced the K series, What i was saying is that if Honda really wanted they could have saved the god knows how much they spent on developing the R series motor(not the J series that you're said) and just thrown K series in every Civic. but they didn't....

So seriously if you're not going to read my posts just stop posting all together.

Right its this simple,
You said honda came out with a new engine for a civic, and started harping on about that the k series wasnt out that long and they already came out with another engine,

1
That has nothing to do with a k series, why dont they put them into all the civics? because maybe some people dont want a powerfull car its like saying why did they ever bother making a d series when they had a b series there??

They obviously plan to sell the r series for a few years to come so they felt it was nessecary to put r&d into a new engine, plus the fact that a k series costs more to make aswell.

You really showed your lack of knowledge when you said that 1 miss shift and the k series engine is gone,

Like i said alreay try doing that in any car regardless of make,

But dont send me the bill when you go out and try it? or do you drive an auto
