SiR Need help

- Fri Oct 09, 2009 5:37 am #149814 Well story goes my mums going to take out some of her pension, i won't say how much but its a shit load. Well to us it is. Shes doing it to give my bro 14,000 to start a morgage on a house.

She said that i could get 2,000 to get a new car cause she knows my eg's going downhill the now.

With 2,000 plus money sold from my car i could get a decent SiR eg. Should i go for it ?

I feel harsh taking that amount off my parents cause there always good to me, roof over my head and not questioning everything i do. My bro asks for shit all the time and mostly gets but im not like that.

2,000 is alot of money and if i spend it on a sir that seems imaculate and is not then i will feel guilty as fuck.

Any imput is appreciated :)

- Fri Oct 09, 2009 5:53 am #149820 man there aint no shame in gettin money from a parent .. its not like your paying for a hooker with it ya know . transportation is a key to live your life and if you dont use it and your car goes tick tick boom them youl be hurting in so many ways .. or at least i would .
so i would just use it and pay them back . dont even tell them you plan to unless thats the deal just drop the money back in there hand when you get it . i hate getting help from people but sometimes its best .. hope this helps

- Fri Oct 09, 2009 6:27 am #149825 Thats a hard call. for me it would depend on your parents intentions and What your finical situation is. if you have the cash then dont take the money from your parents.

If your car is on the downhill and you dont have enough cash to buy something nicer, then take the money but plan on giving it back when you can. Kinda of like a loan from your parents.

Nothing is worse then not having a reliable Daily. I have been lucky enough to always have Back-up cars for when my stuff breaks down. I know people who arn't and have to take public transportation. In America that sucks alot.

If you know your car is on the rocks, I would say sell it for what you can and get dependable Honda. Be it a Honda EG SiR, or a Clean EG Sedan SiR(or whatever you Europeans call them) Maybe a Clean EK or DC. As long as the car is clean, reliable and something you will like then go for it.

And my eg is going downhill but its extremely hard to get a mint sir for 2grand.

My tax is up on the eg next month so i could just tax it for another 6months and decide when its up then and see what shape mines is in then ?

you could use that 2G's to get it running again.
you could sell your other car. use both that and that 2 G's to get an Sir
you could try to find one for around 2 G's (assuming you have a job and have some extra cash to find something +/-500 area)

you could slowly pay your parents back & keep the money in like a CD account and let that money grow for a year or how ever long you want to keep it in a CD account and then buy a car if you are in a situation where you can.
