#151776 How long have you had the laptop? Acer's have a 1 year parts warranty and a optional 3 years accidental damage warranty. if you went with the accidental damage, call up acer.

I belive Acer will charge 200 to replace a bad LCD out of warranty. Its cheaper then a new laptop.

About setting up the monitor, what type is it? a CRT the big fat tube monitors, or a LCD Screen, the thin one? both connecting with the same cable?

Its odd that it says out of sync when both laptops have the same settings. I will be checking in with my co-workers at the computer repair/retail store I work at.

#151789 her might be set to "clone" the picture on both displays, If your wont give you that option and only have the 1 and 2 monitor set up, Click on monitor "2" then check the "extend monitor to this desktop" it then should pop up a screen on the other monitor.

If your asking on how to get that image to show up when its not there and the cables hooked up. I am not sure how to do that. Its normally there by default anytime you have more then 1 display.
