- Mon Jan 18, 2010 7:24 pm #169312 Alright well my buddy has a 97vw golf and his car wont start. I guess when he turns the key on the alarm starts going off. The car wont turn over or anything, so that's why im turning to u guys. Idk anything about these vw's, any ideas of what it could be would be helpful. Thanks

- Mon Jan 18, 2010 7:49 pm #169316 well im just thinking that happened o me just now with my toyota camry lol.....well im just wondering did you try resetting the ecu etc. take the battery terminal off and wait a bit like with our cars and see if that helps....

- Mon Jan 18, 2010 7:59 pm #169319 I actually haven't looked at this car yet. hes told me that hes taken the terminals off an it didn't do anything. I'm trying to collect ideas of what it could be so i can grab tools an drive the 30+ miles.
