This summer and next school year i will have some time to teach my self and learn. How did you guys learn? I really dont want to pay someone to teach me imo its just a waste. Any good books i should look into? Online teaching? I have an acoustic and so thats what im gonna learn on.

- Thu Jun 03, 2010 5:12 am #198387 tabs arent bad. but if youre wanting to learn chords and what not, id go to a music shop and try to find a chord reference. honestly, one meant for kids would be A LOT easier to learn with because a chord ref is for people who already know a lot. Stick with it though. you can do great things! i play guitar and drums. drums are my main thing and ive toured the whole country before. its great!

I'd recommend learning how to read music first.
