Deal of the week.....

- Sat Jul 10, 2010 12:39 am #203958 So yea ive been getting a fair bit of good deals lately on car parts and well today was no exception I have been looking to possibly sell my hatch and get something more classic like a mgb or something like that and well lets just say that today was well one of those days where you start to accept the changes.....and so with 100$'s handed over i came home with a car load of MG parts and here are the pics

4 rostyle rims i think ill have fun restoring these....

A brand new drop in 6v battery

Wire wheel (for the knock off hub design, and 2 radiators they hold water arnt pressure tested....but yea one had the whole shroud....

Misc stuff 3 shift levers, plates,spring bolts, a spring, steering column and wheel and not pictured i got a steering rack as well.

Then i got two MGB doors with everything except door panels pretty much

Armrest that need recovering which just so happen to come with a brand new recovering kit

And then my favorite part because somehow i can lift it alot easier than that of a civic transmission a MGB 4 spd transmission turns and shifts rather smooth

So yea looks like i should be planning to go ahead and purchase a MGB soon more than likley ill get teh convertable but the GT's are nice.....i wont forget the honda world either as i still plan on buying a hatch again in the near future....but im also planning on using delsol seats in the MG as i am tall lol......so woohoo.....

im to the point where i could go either way its probaly the fact that i just haent driven my hatch in so long but theres also so many problems with it that id be spending a boatload more than its worth id say to get everything right itd be about 1-2k easily but dont fret i still have the sedan for now w\hich will receive a 5spd swap shortly as im starting to get tired of the automatic tho it dose make it easier to have my hand on my girls lap lol....but yea that will go eventually as well but when tha goes probaly the money from the sedans going to get me another hatch preferably another cx or vx hatch im keeping the parts the make my hatch special to me so i think all n all itll be good to let her go for now......

and then im going to get into carbs and stuff lol with these darn mg's triumphs and austin healey's cant wait because they are just as simle as our civics i just need something new in my life right now car wise and who knows maybe after i get the mg to the point where im done and enjoy it a bit i may just go ahead say fuck it and get a Datsun 240z but i dont see that happening they are great cars and god do i love them but for me they are a bit too complex but maybe a datsun 510 as thats simpler lol.....idk we will see what ends up happening. but for now i still have no place to work on my car so we will see what happens...

yepperz got all that for $100 i was surprized as well im going to once i get my 75 cb750 running trade fro a midget fix it up see if i can make myself fit in it alrite either drive that for a bit or sell and get a mgb or who knows kinda up in the air again about what car i would like....
