Death of a decent forum?

- Wed Feb 23, 2011 8:12 am #240413 I know the hate will be vast for this statement but I have noticed as of recent that there is a number of threads on this forum that are either completely useless or just down right smut. Is it just me? A year ago the recent topics consisted of informative threads. Now it's post whore and soft core porn threads. Just my observation.

- Wed Feb 23, 2011 6:00 pm #240474 i do have to say being a mod on another civic forum, that we hae the no not safe for work, cuz we have a few sponsors. the site is kinda slow, cuz when ever there is a fight or someones posting b/s we have to edit it and people dont like that.

so the junk yard thread is a great idea, it keeps people on the site and keeps the bull out of the diy's and help threads

I do see where you are coming from. However we are from dying. We still have tons of good tech info and good builds, For example Robster recently had his Awesome 1.6Liter VTEC-E Build that he went into crazy detail on. Its impossible to look at that build and not be inspired to start a build.

We have two clearly labeled softcore porn sections, and one post whore thread. However last year we had a Post whore thread filled with porn, we now have a Work safe one so if your at work you can post about whatever cool things you find.

Depending on the day you will see the first page of recent topics on lots of tech topics, and the post whore threads pushed back to the second and third page, It just depends on when you get on.

but i am seeing more and more useless threads in the tech, but a lil bit of work on google can solve that and some of its common sense.

but for us socaler's on SCC.com that place went down hill, theres no mod or admin controlling the site, and there are like 11 active members including me and d-mon lol
