#278676 Ever since high school, most of my friends are moving up north to the sunshine state (Queensland, not Florida), I really want to move there but it's a bit of a mission and don't exactly know how to go about it. I noticed lots of redbull events and major car events happen up there, compared to Sydney.

Pros:
It's a growing city, best beaches, Billabong Pro surf events, auto salon, cheaper fuel, more work up there, less crime rate, hotter girls, palm trees on licence plates, bananas are cheap, V8 Super Cars.

Cons:
Deadliest sharks and stingrays, humid, some parts of the major city is flood potential, it gets hot, 6 hours away if I ever want to visit family back home.

#278737 Newcastle, it's not bad but there isn't much to do here, it's quiet and people are rude and know your business, even celebs that came here weren't really keen, like Oprah and David Beckham. Only good thing that came from here is Miss universe 2004, the band Silverchair, and the biggest KFC in the southern hemisphere.

#278808 I'd do the move. Find a job first then roll. Traffic doesn't look too bad either. How often does it flood??

It floods about once a year, but it can be damaging like the recent floods you guys got in the states

#278868 Once a year probably not a deal breaker. High rise with a parking stucture would cure that. Or just keep the good shit in the attic
