What made you buy a EG - Civic?

Civic especially the EG model...Don't be afraid to say you saw
The Fast And Furious and had to get one :lol:

and the EG9 has loads of goodies.
But i wont lie here I always liked civic's but when i Saw The Fast and The Furious i was blown away. :lol: Those Black coupes.lawwwwwddd
up till this day when im driving along the freeway and i see a truck i pretend that im hijacking it :lol:

So i had to get an older car and with a few tweaks it is also quicker ;)

- Sat Oct 30, 2010 5:58 am #220773 I Grew up in a Honda Famliy. We have always had Hondas. I can personally recall us having an EF Civic Sedan, Multiple CB7 Honda Accords, CD Honda Accord. Multiple first Gen Odysseys, 1 Second Gen USDM Oddysey. and then a DC Integra.

When I Graduated highschool my parents where going to get me a Car for a Graduation Gift. I looked all over for a "bright blue" EG Sedan or Delsol with a "VTEC" Engine. That was before I knew EG Sedans didn't come in Bright blue. I Settled for a 94 EJ1 Coupe. With optional ABS. I went through the typical ricer phase then Found the errors of my ways and went to the more JDM/Clean Styling.

Since then I have every year of EG. I have had a 92(POS Red Winter beater sedan, Overpayed for it and it was $600, Ended up scraping it out) a 93(My Nice Sedan, Currently serving as my Daily Driver), a 94(my EJ1 Coupe, Sold), and finally a 95(My Delsol Si. Currently JDM B20b/Em1 b16 Tranny Swapped, My Summer Toy)

So the Orignal EG I always wanted to get, be it a EG Sedan in Bright blue(as mine will be soon) or a Delsol, I know have Both. According to my Dad when I was 7 or 8 I told him and my Mom they should get a delsol when looking at getting another Honda Accord. They didn't get it as there would be no seat for me. It was Brand new at the time back in 94 or 95.

Even Today we are still a Honda Family, Well except my dad who defected and bought a 95 Corolla as he couldn't pass up the deal. Even then he envys my 93 Sedan.

2* 95 Hatch
1* Delsol

I bought my first DelSol as always wanted a Jap Import modded car so did that.

Always had a soft spot for the civic and yes some of that what f&f hence 2 coupes but find they're just what I want or need for daily and track driving, plus easier to work on than all the Eurotrash car we get here in the UK

- Sat Oct 30, 2010 12:14 pm #220791 I got my first eh2 because I previously had a Dodge Dakota with a v8 and the gas mileage sucked BAD and my commute was 40miles one way to work. So I opted for the "economy car" and fell in love. :)

- Sat Oct 30, 2010 12:25 pm #220792 I just wanted an eg so i rode around looking for one, ended up seeing it in someones yard under a tree, looked like it hadnt been driven in a year, turned out it really hadnt....i bought it for five bills, a 30.00 ebay fuel pump and I was on the road. Still driving it now, endless list of things Id like to do to it but no money lol...

I saw my hatch for sale a couple times and then stopped to talk to the owner one day and ended up buying it in 2000. I liked the extra space it had and fuel injection.

- Sat Oct 30, 2010 1:53 pm #220794 I had a 89 CRX DX, dual point fuel injection FTW lol, had a B16A swap planned (& purchased already) but than a little old lady decided to stop in the middle of a highway for no apparent reason :x :x :x no more CRX.

My step-cousin had just shipped off to the army and had parked his EJ2 a couple of months before, i didn't know why at the time.

Because i needed a car i inquired in whether he planned on keeping it and he didn't. Turned out they had tore apart the rear drum brakes to try to replace a couple of parts and couldn't figure out how to put it back together. HAHAH!!

So i got a EJ2 with a B18A1 swap for $1000, sold my B16 swap, than a day later i had the drum brakes back together and i was rolling!

Sorry for the book hahaha.

Who had like twelve Hondas dating back to the 70's
Always just been around Hondas anything else didnt make sense.
Since I was fourteen I wanted a CRX.
Its pretty realistic to get one they are not that much money
but it didn't work out and I eventually gave up but still had the Honda love.
Then I found out about eg hatches. Didnt know of their reputation nor did I know anything about the Honda scene but I wanted one

Then a guy I work with randomly came up to me an said
"Hey I got this honda for sale, its a 1992"

"Yeah? Really? How much you want it for?"

"Eh, Il take $700"

And now a full year later I still want a CRX to go along with my EG

- Sat Oct 30, 2010 6:02 pm #220812 After watching the fast & furious i wanted a Honda that i could fix up, so my dad bought me my 1st Honda Accord, then i got rid of it n got a 91 Honda Crx(I miss u) n after that i decided i want a hatchback n luckily i found a 92 Honda hatchback wit a ls/vtec swap for a really nice price. Well just alwways had love for Honda. :woot:

- Sat Oct 30, 2010 6:16 pm #220814 needed a car and had drove my buddy's si and loved it so I found a beater civic for 300 bucks with a blown head gasket. I drove the hell out of the car and it always started and always got me home even if something broke.

- Sat Oct 30, 2010 6:17 pm #220815 My dad had this 92 bone stock phantom grey dx sedan since like 96 and I loved that thing. I took my road test in it, was gonna make it mine one day. But he hit his 3rd deer with it like 4 years back and my mom wouldn't let him keep it and fix it. So I made it my mission to get a phantom grey eg sedan, and I got it. Btw family cars 97 Odyssey, 92 Accord sedan, 96 Civic coupe.
