- Wed Apr 08, 2009 11:29 pm #109243 I regret to inform you guys that I've traded my 94 Civic Ex for a 2009 Lancer GTS in preparation to get a Evo X. I truly cried when I drove away from the dealership and when I got home only to find the spot it used to sit on empty . But I'm glad to inform you that I will eventually find another Nice EJ1 to work on and use it as a weekend car. Can't get the Honda Out of me It's in my DNA. Though it's mutating with Mitsubishi DNA.

- Wed Apr 08, 2009 11:55 pm #109251 Plz don't make me cry any more than I already have, I know I'll regret for a bit selling it, but to make the car efficient and reliable I would have to have invested about 2grand on it. It just wasn't a real goal for me seeing that I had already invested 2 times what I original paid for the car in engine transplants and misc stuff. Buuuut There's hope like I said before it's only a matter of time till I buy another EJ1 and then I'll have some fun. Ohh and I'm not going anywhere away from this forum, Just try to kick me out

- Thu Apr 09, 2009 1:55 pm #109408 The reason I got the Lancer first was becase my credit was not up to par, though I've made all my payments on time I did not have a Serious history, so I took the lancer to build my credit and worked it out to trade in the car later for the Evo. To Heatherly I was and still am interested in a Evo IX, but here is the reality when You buy a used car such as my Old EJ you buy it as is, not knowing how the previous owner took care of it, and what ever problems may come with it. Whilst the Evo X is brand new and comes with a full warranty, less stuff to worry about in the long run.

I've been talking with some Evo friends and all say the same thing, if you are going to drag racing get the evo VIII or the IX but if you just want to drive and will be going to events ie: auto-x or what I plan on doing later on circuit racing the Evo X is up to par and has alot of promise for the later years.

But the deal I made with the dealership was that once all is set i'm coming back for an Evo IX, if they can't get their hands on one (which they can) then I'll consider going to the EVO X since I test drove it and I just felt at home and felt confident. On the other hand when I test drove an Evo IX MR I was sorta scared cuz the car pulled sooooooo dam much, my friend ridding shot gun got whip lash because he wasn't resting his head on the seat (there were 4 of us that day on the evo IX, and it still moved like a beast)

I think it's too soon for me to decide on which one since it's only been 2 days since everything happened. Also notice how i'm actually posting more here cuz I just feel like I belong here and not on the Tristateevo.com Forums (though I know some people there)
