#184059 Just look into known brands and you shouldnt have an issue with sucky/weak shiz.

For Your frame, you're going to want a 21" or longer top tup too ride comfortably because of your height. I'd personally get longer than 21".
If you looking into Fit frames here are the ones off the site that are 21 or longer:
Fit Eddie V3 Frame
Fit Ed LT Frame
Fit S3.5 Aitken Frame

I would pass on that. If you want to start small.. buy a complete bike off dans or you local bike shops. Get back into riding, then upgrade you parts as needed!

#184061 Being a taller person I actually liked the 20.75 top tube because I could throw it around better.

Cool i needed someone to say that lol. does the .25 between the 20.75 and 21 make a difference? you may be implying to stay away from anything about 21 just cause its easier to throw around?

Ya but my knees would hit the handlebars unless I pushed the bars forward and that would throw everything off. Everyones different though. 8)

Most shops will let you roll on them in the parking lot to see if it fits you, just ask.

ya get to a shop and sit on the bike and even go as far as a test ride. if you find a bike that fits, you can get the specs on it and then go online and find a few bikes u like and compaire wit the specs....

#277877 I was going to start a thread but found this one so I'll just post up here instead :thumb:

So does anyone still ride? See a lot of roof racks but no bikes

I want a bike but don't really know where to start
I'll be using it mostly for streets and maybe hitting the trails not too crazy on doing alot of jumps
I'm 5'7"..what size frame would be good? I've been looking at different brands like we the people, fit, haro, premium, stolen
I've never built a bike before but figure it can't be too different from a car lol should I just buy a complete bike or just build a custom one?

Edit: I'm just going to get a complete and whatever breaks or feel uncomfortable ill replace
