So was talking with my buddy i bought 2 tires from him but thats not what im updateing this about haveing not been able to get a bite on my 4dr im going to be doing a shit ton of tradeing loland get a different volvo possibly....
dont have any pictures of it right now however its a 1987 volvo 740gle 4spd with overdrive....now my first volvo was a 88 volvo 740gle and i loved that thing ....
main problem with this volvo is that the rear main seal is leaking but to me im thinking either pop the whole engine trans assembly out and work on it or pop the trans out and work on it but gotta see what happens first.....
or if that deal falls thru as my buddy is tradeing his truck for it as he wants a civic but i dont want a 2wd chevy shitbox lol i told him try and trade your truck for a manual volvo and we will talk....
but like i said if that deal falls thru more then liekly ill be getting another hatch lol my buddy has a kid and has a vx hatch that hes looking to get rid of so low n behold i offer him my 4dr hes comming to check it out tomarrow lol....

new volvo to trade for i saw near my buddies a possibility -87 740 gle with a rear main leak
and possibly tradeing the 4dr for a vx
so yea ive been a busy little person wheeling and dealing so yea im hoping to get the 740 as it brings back the nostalgia of my old 88 that i paid 50$'s for lolfrom my teacher anyhow plans yea ive already got some plans
engine swaps ive been researching and well in my junkyard theres the following
-turbo setup which swaps right over to that of the b230f volvo engine
-A 760 b28f or the v6 volvo engine which seems like a fun choice lol just havent researched it enough but i really think it probaly has some nice upgreades
-a 5cyl volvo 850 engine that apparently has been implanted into a couple volvos already
-a 6cyl volvo 960 powerplant which also seems like a fun swap as this one is rwd and i also think this model if it has a solid acel has a lsd which i think i may take a look at that soon
-or i could just go ahead and take a mustang 5.0l engine swap and drop that in lol....
so many options but i mean if i find something soon before i do the rear main seal then i may just do the swap then but besides a swap theres always lowering it stiffening the suspension and exhaust work....gauges and weight reduction but yea gotta see what happens first if i get the other hatch im going to fix it up as my winter hatch for now as it has a interior lol....but we will see for now 740 volvos ftw
to me they may look more like a box then the 240 but they are and seem alot more easier to work on and get parts for i mean for gods sake the fuse and relay box is right behind the ashtray you take two phillips head screws out and bam you got yourself a whole heap ton of room to do what you wish....

and my 940se kinda like a more luxurious rounded out 740 and this 940 had a turbo my first experience with boost and so far my only as i am hooked on the subject but havent had another car with a turbo soon to change tho
