#311167 Slowj1 I was busted back in 2001 with my old civic in the 405 freeway. In my case I was driving behind the highway patrol and he couldn't see my head lights. believe it or not when he sow me in uniform he asked me to sit on the passenger side front seat of the patrol car and I could not see my own headlights. So I got a fixed ticket but it had to be signed by the referee. I total I paid like $60 for the ticket. To fix the issue I got rid of the cheap ass coilovers that I had and bought some tein springs. I also got rid of the stupid projector lights that the car had when i bought it.

#311181 i did not say cutting of springs started here, and i dont care where it started its dangerous

who said eibach kits are good? well as i said a moderate height is fine but theres guys that want to be cool by dumping their cars on the tar and think its cool to scrape wherever they go.

well how much i bet you that person who got caught with bc coilovers dumped his ride on the tyres?????

you see you sounded unsure...when i got pulled i greeted and they checked the car out, they asked to see vin number and all that and the cop said your car is too low...and i was asertive and told him its a fully adjustable suspension and that i made sure nothing touches the body. he was cool because i was not a prick.approved from outlet is not approved from government, heck my spoon coilovers is not approved either but you win them over by talking to them like you did your homework before fitting it.

im not sugar coating anything, people think they can do their own sh!t and when it backfires they cry the beloved country...

wtf are you guys crying when you on the wrong side of the law? yes some cops are d!cks, you get that ( but never be rude and bow down to them, works all the time)

and you probably got to meet that dickhead cop, no explanation for why he nailed you, you probably came across as a spoilt boy and he is jealous he has to work hard for his sh!t and you get yours ...thats their mentality and they dont realise we bust our a$$es for what we have.

so i laugh when topics like come up on our local forums, i blame the internet for this hellaflush crap.

#311186 i was never caught yet by our ghost squad officials, but its so crap having to be afraid of driving on the road because I have to always be on a look out for these traffic officials. I once drove thru a Ghost squad roadblock, lucky for me they already pulled over 2 taxi's and had their hands full so i just politely smiled and waved as they were staring @ my car 8)

#311190 Robin I never said that, but you made it sound like we are the only country cutting springs.

I never said Eibach is good.the law says it. When you purchase an Eibach kit you get
The SABS TUV/ISO certificate which states that you are allowed to use that kit
On public roads. And that's what the cop told me that night it happened to me.

I think the important thing that you said was the type of cop,I drove for 4 years and never got any trouble but 1 night driving home I get a different cop.

Fyi on the day I raised my car and went back to the roadworthy the chief of the Roadworthy centre called me into his office and he was also there with the cop that took my disc on the night said the other cops come to him and ask what is the law regarding this,he tells them and they reply oh so we can make money out of this.

And that was chief of the station that told me that

#311195 Let's agree to disagree on this topic.

Like I said before, some cops are over using the power of the badge
Just to make another persons life difficult.

#311242 Do u guys have something in cape town like the right 2 remain silent

Here in the states u get pulld over u don't talk 2 the cop.
That's if ur smart

When I get pulld over I give them my papers and I don't care what he ask me I have one out of 2 answers. For him
1 am I under arrest
2 I have the right 2 remain silent.
In the states if hey pull u over 4 being 2 low he has 2 prove it do u know how hard that is 2 prove how low a car was

#312172 In the state of New South Wales, you can lower/raise your car no more then 50mm from your stock height.

Just lowered mine again today, only 45mm from standard height, this shows how far you can go and still be legal.
