- Mon Mar 26, 2007 5:55 pm #3740 Weight is the reason I got rid of that car. No matter how much crap I cut out of that car it still weighed a ton. COMPLETELY gutted it still came in at almost 2400 lbs.

- Mon Mar 26, 2007 11:31 pm #3765 first vehicle was a 94 chevy s-10, then i had a 81 caviler, then i got my eg8.. i'd post pic of the cars but i never had them long enough to take pics of..the s-10 someone pull out infront of me a week after i got it and the caviler i had the rear brakes lock up while i was turning off onto another road and it put me in a deep ditch..

Now I'm building a SOHC 4 banger that will smoke my V8

After owning chevys & fords, and then 3 Hondas in a row (bought my 96 hx AFTER my EG), I can't see my self going back. The quality & reliability really is so much better. The oem parts last longer and stupid misc things don't break on Hondas like they do on domestics.

No shit, before I got my EM1 I had a Red 96 HX on a 100 shot. That lil single slam took a beating.

heres a break down for ya:

- 1990 vauxhall nova 1.2ltr merit
- 1993 vauxhall astra 1.4ltr ls
- 1994 vauxhall astra 1.6ltr sport
- 1995 honda civic 1.5lsi
- 1990 renault 5 gt turbo 1.4ltr
- 1993 honda prelude 2.0ltr
- 1994 honda civic sir (was a b16a now a b18c)

ive also part owned with the missus:

- 1991 vauxhall nova 1.4ltr
- 1991 vauxhall nova 1.6ltr gsi
- 1996 vauxhall omega 2.5ltr v6
- 1998 VW golf gti turbo 1.8ltr


but i only have pics of my civic, the renault 5 turbo and the golf turbo...


this is the renault 5 gt turbo - one of the most un-reliable cars ive owned but also never had sooooo much fun in another car!!!
was about 170bhp in something that weighs as much as a tin can!


and this is the golf. wasnt very fast (about 160bhp) but i always looked at this car as a cruiser!
