The Japanese headlights arent black or blacked out...they are still chromey on the inside. The just dont have nipples on them and are made of plastic instead of glass.

This "JDM" trend thing is just annoying. The japanese got cooler stuff than we did, but so did the europeans and austrailians and most of the known world for that matter. Why isnt the trend EDM, or some other market?

i have noticed very few people going for an EDM look. i think why its mainly "JDM" is because the car originates from there. i dont know, but it makes sense! haha

the only "JDM" stuff i like is actual products from japan. i would love to have a car only modded with mugen goodies!

when i lived in germany working on my CRX i was throwing everything EDM i could on the car to include engine tranny and ECU cause there wasnt a limiter like there is on the US stuff. but then again a lot of the JDM (actual factory provided parts) are the same as EDM. its just the US market and all the dumb safety rules that we have why things are as different as they are

- Thu Apr 07, 2011 6:50 am #248858 If you want a reason why the "JDM" trend is so much bigger you can probably point your finger to the Fast & Furious franchise, even though it's not even close to being JDM. "Overnight parts from Japan", you know.
On occasion I still see a car rocking the F&F decals, usually on an almost completely bone stock American vehicle though.
The JDM trend also appeals to the younguns(high schoolers) who can buy parts super cheap off of ebay because they don't really have the funds to buy anything else.

my JDM rear foglight

wtf.. 1st of all the rear foglight was built in the taillight not the bumper
and 2nd of all, ITS NOT JDM, its EDM lol
