The reason is Bush. I know that. But now these fuckers are coming out of the woodworks. We did nothing to provoke the responses from N. Korea and Iran. These leaders have Napoleon complexes and they will end up getting dealt with if they keep pushing. You cant kill innocent people and beat protestors just because they dont go with your views. It's what "we" the US has done over many years thats pissed plenty of countries off that makes this the perfect time to attack us, We are vulnerable.

I'm not all that up on the recent Iran stuff to be honest. But the N.Korea situation.... "IF" they shot off a missile AT us or our Allies, their missiles will be shot down before Kim Jong can scratch his ass.

The world is not out to get you, lest you forget that the UK has had all its diplomats and press thrown out as well? All we've done is respond in kind, there is very little point doing much else. Or perhaps we should have another repeat of afghanistan and iraq?

Bush has contributed with his "axis of evil" and generally trying to rile other nations as much as possible - but his line of thinking is quite widespread in the US. Maybe not as ridiculous or stupid, but it is there.

This thread is, imo, base 1. You cannot launch yourself to get involved in what other countries are doing without fucking up the entire system. Afghanistan and Iraq are in an absolute mess, and I bet some of the residents of these countries are probably thinking that they were better off under their previous leaderships than they are now where people are getting killed for being caught in a cross fire.

Iran will do what the hell they want. Getting involved will just end up with MORE people killed, to probably not make the situation any better.

EXACTLY!! Like I said in the other thread, We "U.S." are NOOOOT the world police and need to stop acting like it. We need to put or focus on US right now.

Not only are Afghanistan and Iraq in a mess, the whole world is being effected. We are fighting a war we cannot afford and now we are on the verge of starting another, thats F'n ridiculous!! N.K. wouldn't have made these threats against us if we wouldve minded our own business in stead of trying to play world police.

So, N.K. is making Nuc's... um SO ARE WE. We can't do one thing and tell others they can't do that, regardless of their leader. So, N.K. has missiles aimed "in our direction"...SO DOES RUSSIA, are we declaring war on them?????

We don't need to be meddling in other countries business, we have the technology and equipment to stop attacks before they even become a threat so until N.K. gives any inclination that they are becoming a real threat, we need to leave them alone before we instigate something NONE of us want!

Chance and Zep have it dead on, and it's not so much the fact that the US is trying to play world police, it's the way they do it, being rude, ignorant, and no respect for foreign culture and politics. basically they are just barging in screaming "don't do that!"

It is the governments fault of our world view. I was saying Bush because of how many clusterfucks he put us in during his terms. I am reasonable..I know it is not one person alone. Yes Americans in large are arrogant, but then again so are the brittish, so are the arab nations or any other country that has self pride, its what makes you love your country. Its how its handle in the world eye that is the issue. And yes BUSH burned a lot of bridges while in office. But my point wasnt to be arrogant as obviously Zep has taken it. It is simply because as of late, the two countries that are a world threat have spit venom at us. N. Korea is defying the WORLD organization and yet America is the target of their threats. Iran is hurting its own people due to a crooked election, and yet because we say their actions are deplorable...we are threatend. Those are facts! That is not a past relationship gone wrong, it is not arrogance or conspiracy theory...it is pure fact. I also 100% agree that we should not be the worlds police, but I dont see how that has anything to do with what I asked. Apparently everyone mistook the point of this thread.
